ABOUT US

Introduction and History

Unity in Action Foundation was established in the year 2024 with the motto of “serving the society and empowering the marginalized and underpriviledged communities”. The Foundation has developed a robust mechanism for executing CSR Projects in the area of Education, Skill Development, Community Health, Elderly Care Livelihood and Sports Promotion. The governing board of Unity in Action Foundation is directly involved in Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects with strong and robust internal control systems. All the projects partners of the foundation undergo rigorous due diligence process and monitoring mechanisms.

Community Development and Empowerment is one of the core thematic areas ofthe CSR Initiatives of Unity In Action Foundation and children, adoloscent, women, elderly, person with disability belonging from constrained socio economic backgrounds are the targeted beneficaries for all our projects, campaigns and intervention.

The expertise and knowledge of our Project Implementation Team and Project Partners provides expertise and excellence in addressing key social issues by providing educational support to under priviledged and marginalized children, conducting health screening and health awareness programmers, providing elderly
care and support, enhancing sports infrastructure at grass root level and conducting Skill Training Programmes for youth.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Unity in Action Foundation includes the following

Empower Children

To empower the lives of children in need, empower marginalized people, and provide equity for girls and women

Support Marginalized

To work towards building a compassionate society by ensuring access to basic necessities for underprivileged individuals.

Equity for Women

To advocate, encourage and guide positive health-seeking behaviors with special emphasis on physical, mental and social well-being;

Build Compassion

Develop partnerships with Government, allied NGOs, media agencies and civil society to sensitize and mobilize community members to create awareness about Human Rights, Government Sponsored Schemes and interventions of Unity in Action Foundation

Promote Health

To improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of elderly and in To improve the physical, mental and emotional well being of elderly and in the process ensuring restoration of the cognitive and physical abilities of senior citizens senior citizens

Support Elderly

To contribute to disease prevention and control through vaccination programs, awareness campaigns, and community engagement

Youth Skill Development

To support young people develop the skills they need to succeed in the job market, especially in technology, communication, and entrepreneurship

Human Rights Awareness

To help young people develop the skills they need to succeed in the job market, especially in technology, communication, and entrepreneurship

OUR Objectives

Educational Institutions

To promote, establish, run and maintain educational institutions.

Scholarships Grants

To grant scholarships and stipends to need students of the minority / weaker sections of the society for their education.

Vocational Training

To promote, establish, run and maintain non-formal education centers as well as vocational training institutions for women and people belonging to poor and weaker sections of the society.

Health Services

To promote, establish, run and manage health service facilities including medical clinics and health centers staffed with doctors and nurses who are able to provide nursing care and basic health services to the local community

Rehabilitation Centers

To establish, run and manage Health Centers, Settlements, Orphanages, rehabilitation centers and Old Age Homes

Medical Camps

To raise basic health standards of the rural masses particularly of underpriviledged and marginalized community members by conducting annual free medical and eye camps, and by providing medicines free of cost.

Women Empowerment

To work for the upliftment and empowerment of women by promoting literacy among girls/women, and by supporting income generation activities and other life skills.

Natural Conservation

To conserve, protect and promote natural resources such as water, forest, minerals etc. by popularizing afforestation/tree planting in the community, introducing water harvesting techniques, and advocating sustainable exploitation and use of minerals

Sustainable Technologies

To introduce simple and sustainable technologies and practices for improved water and sanitation facilities, and waste disposal.

Reforestation Programs

To work with the Government and other Non-Governmental Organisations on major programmes for replantation of deforested areas, conservation of water sheds, and the protection of lakes and other water sources.

Disaster Relief

To promote, organize and render relief, charitable and benevolent services and all other ancillary services to the victims of war, civil disturbance, famine, earthquake, flood, epidemic and other natural calamities.

Mental Health

To promote and support mental health and psychological-social counseling services with an effective outreach to the vulnerable groups, especially those women who are distressed, depressed and suicidal and in need of active intervention.

Family Welfare

To promote and support health/ family welfare centers and/or camps for education on preventive healthcare, awareness about major health issues including on HIV/AIDS, and psychological-social counseling for drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Preventive Healthcare

To use various medium of communication to sensitize the masses and create awareness among them in matters of environmental and social issues.

Environmental Awareness

To build in-house capacity for effective communication of the Trusts aims, objectives, results and reporting thereon both within and with external partners including press and electronic media to garner support for Trusts key projects and activities

Communication Strategies

To produce, print, publish, sell and purchase books, magazines, bulletins, leaflets, journals, audio visual material, documentation etc, for the spread and advancement of Buddhist education, fine arts, culture and religion.

Collaborative Efforts

To hold discussions, conferences and symposiums and seminars on subjects and matters associated with the objects of the trust.

Partnership and Representation

To work in cooperation with other persons, associations, societies, institutions, foundations and organizations, national and international, incorporated or not and to provide for representation of the trust in national and international conferences in the pursuit of all or any of the above objects of the trust
