Sampoorna Shiksha
Unity in Action Foundation, under its Project Sampoorna Shiksha, is dedicated to providing quality education to children from underprivileged and marginalized backgrounds. The foundation collaborates with government schools, low-income schools, and NGO-run schools to enhance educational infrastructure and distribute educational and learning materials to its students and beneficiaries.
Infrastructure and In Kind Support
Infrastructure and in-kind support are provided through the installation of educational resources, including projectors (with screens), laptops, tablets, learning manuals, and other essential tools. The Programme Team at Unity in Action Foundation offers end-to-end support to beneficiary organizations such as government schools and low-income schools.
The project places a strong emphasis on enhancing the accessibility of technology and innovative learning methods for teachers and students at the grassroots level. A detailed need-based assessment, including field visits and site inspections, is conducted before planning interventions.
The key outcomes aimed to be achieved through this project are as follows:
- To improve the learning process of outcomes of students
- To provide access to tech based learning amongst underpriviledged students
- To enable project beneficiaries to learn critical thinking and problem solving skills through extensive use of Information Technology
- To make digital education accessible to children and youth and addresses their aspirations by providing opportunities to learn computers
- To eradicate the anxiety / stress associated with using Computers(Both Hardware and Software) especially in the case of First Generation Learners
Learning Support
Unity in Action Foundation extends learning support to its beneficiaries by offering scholarships to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. These scholarships are provided to school students up to the secondary level and enable them to pursue courses and training programs in addition to their academic curriculum.
The criteria for selecting candidates are as follows:
- Applicants must be studying in Class 6 to 12 in the current academic year.
- Applicants must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
- The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 1,50,000
- 50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants.
